Welcome to the Illinois Home Education website.If you are looking for the Illinois Homeschool Information site, you have found it! This site is dedicated to providing information on homeschooling in the state of Illinois. Pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee and some chocolate, hold on to your mouse and get ready to click into some good information!

Illinois Home Education (IHE) is an ongoing service project. It was started by our family in 2004, as a service to the homeschool community in the state of Illinois.

• IHE provides information to those seeking to learn more about home education in the state of Illinois. Click on the links to the left to explore information on Illinois Law (as it pertains to homeschoolers), Getting Started with homeschooling, homeschooling books and links to online resources.
• IHE provides website design and website hosting for Illinois home education groups. IHE will provide free space on its servers to local organizations in need of these services.
• IHE also offers tutoring in basic computer skills, as well as graphic and web design, local area networking and computer repairs.

This site is a continual work in progress. If you have information that you feel would be helpful to our readers, please pass it along! If you are a member of a support group, send in your group information and we will be glad to post it on our Online Resources page!
